Registration includes participation in the CRLA Summer Institute, all materials (except Handbook) for sessions and workshops, as well as three breakfasts, three lunches, coffee breaks and closing celebration. Lodging and transportation are not included in the registration fee.

When registering for the Institute, you will be asked to select the Tutor Track or the Mentor, Coach, Peer Educator track. Please note attendees will NOT be able to change their track assignment at the training/onsite. Tutor Trainer track: This specialized track is intended for practitioners who are directly responsible for coordinating and/or directing a tutor training program at the college level. This includes individuals who recruit, hire, train, supervise and evaluate content and study skill tutors who provide group or individual tutoring. While the focus of this track is on directing, training and supervising college-level "peer" tutors, it is also suitable for those whose tutoring staff include faculty tutors and/or volunteer tutors who support a college-level tutoring program. It is NOT intended for individuals who oversee Supplemental Instruction or Peer Mentoring programs. This track will focus exclusively on content related to tutors, tutoring programs, and tutor training.

Mentor, Coach, Peer Educator track: This track is intended for program coordinators who train/supervise college/university peer educator programs. This includes individuals who oversee the development and implementation of peer educator initiatives such as peer mentors, peer academic coaches, SI leaders, classroom leaders, FYE student facilitators, TRiO, etc.

Specifically, this track is designed for individuals who are new to supervising peer educator programs and/or individuals who are developing new initiatives. The Institute will provide an opportunity to explore foundational principles of peer educator programming and strategies for successful implementation. This track is NOT intended for individuals who oversee tutoring programs.

Note: Traditionally CRLA Summer Institute sells out quickly. Register early! Registration will close on designated date or when all tracks are full.

The Handbook will be used extensively during the training. If you have a copy, please bring it to the Summer Institute. If you do not have a copy of the Handbook you may purchase a discounted copy when registering. Limit one (1) copy per registration.

PAYMENT POLICY

If payment is being made by check, it must be received by CRLA by the designated day stated on your invoice or the reserved space will be released.

All payments MUST be received by June 30, 2024. If payment is not received by June 30, 2024, those seats will be released to those on the waiting list or cancelled.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancellation requests must be made in writing and postmarked by June 16, 2024.
Cancellation requests postmarked by June 16, 2024 will be subject to a $100 processing fee. 
Requests for refunds of summer Institute registration postmarked after June 16, 2024 will not be honored unless they are requested as a result of serious illness, death in the family, or other unforeseeable emergency.
Requests made after August 5, 2024 will not be considered.

If this event is cancelled by CRLA or The Amway Grand Plaza, registration fees will be refunded 100%.
